Gilles Apap

Gilles Apap is a violinist who specializes in performing a number of varied styles including classical, bluegrass and gypsy folk. Born in Béjaïa, Algeria and raised in Nice, France, Apap would initially distinguish himself by winning first prize in the contemporary music category at the Yehudi Menuhin Competition in 1985. Having since stayed busy with a consistent album release schedule, beginning with his debut LP, Why?, Apap also maintains an ardent touring regime.
