Foghat is a British rock band that was founded in 1971. Though the group is probably best-known for its ubiquitously popular song "Slow Ride," the group managed to release a prolific string of albums throughout the 1970s and early 1980s before breaking up in 1984. The disbandment was short lived, however, with Foghat reemerging in 1986. The group has since maintained a fairly regular touring schedule, banking off its popularity with fans of 1970s classic rock material.
