Eric Harland

Eric Harland is a jazz drummer and band leader from Houston, Texas who has played with musical luminaries like Zakir Hussain, Wynton Marsalis and McCoy Tyner. Beginning his career in the early 1990s, playing in the Houston region as he was finishing up at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Harland would eventually move to New York to study at the Manhattan School of Music. After graduating, he was enlisted by several prominent East Coast jazz band leaders to play in their outfits before Harland himself decided to strike out on his own and assemble his own cast of players to suit his personal tastes and musical directions.
