Cellist Eric Byers is acclaimed as a captivating soloist, chamber musician, and composer. He made his solo debut with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at 18 and later impressed audiences with a last-minute performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Praised for his eloquence and innovation, Byers' solo repertoire spans from J.S. Bach to modern composers like Esa-Pekka Salonen, Thomas Adès, and Caroline Shaw. As a founding member of the Calder Quartet, he has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and won awards for their adventurous programming.
