Eric B and Rakim are a hip-hop duro from Long Island, New York who would go on to define themselves as one of the premier DJ/MC duos since releasing their debut album, Paid in Full, in 1987. With Eric B. creating soul-filled mixes on the turntables, Rakim's unmatched ability to create rhythm layden rhymes with lyrics centering around current events and the Islamic Faith, the duo would define a sound and come to be regarded as one of the more iconic teams to exist during hip-hop's golden age.
