Wakin Chau, also known as Emil Chau during the 1980s and 1990s, is a highly popular Hong Kong-born Taiwanese singer and actor, beloved across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and parts of Southeast Asia. With over 40 albums released as of 2007, his music has earned widespread acclaim and numerous awards. Starting his musical journey by singing folk songs in coffee shops, Chau's career took off when he joined Rock Records as an assistant producer and later embarked on a successful solo career. Apart from music, he has engaged in charitable endeavors and made appearances in films, TV, and radio programs.
