Eliso Virsaladze, a highly esteemed Georgian pianist, was born in Tbilisi in 1942. Under the guidance of renowned pianists and professors, including Heinrich Neuhaus and Yakov Zak, she honed her exceptional skills. Virsaladze achieved international recognition by winning prizes in prestigious competitions like the Tchaikovsky and Robert Schumann competitions. Sviatoslav Richter hailed her as the finest female pianist and a master interpreter of Schumann. Alongside her stellar performing career, Virsaladze has been a dedicated educator at the Moscow Conservatory, University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, and Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. Her influence extends to her outstanding students and extensive jury participation in esteemed competitions.
