Though several circus companies have decided to modernize and update their show with high-tech flourishes and cutting edge special effects, the Elf Khurafeh Shrine Circus has chosen to stay true to its roots and perform its show nearly the same way it has been performed since launching in 1906. Based in Michigan, the circus typically travels and performs in roughly 140 cities across the United States and Canada. Every element of a characteristic circus is on display--from wacky clowns to daredevil tightrope walkers--and the show's unencumbered routine is suited for all ages. Though the circus often prefers to perform within the confines of a single ring, giving attendees an opportunity to take in every minute of the performance, it will often beef up its production to a more grandiose three ring spectacle.
