Jacques Higelin

Jacques Higelin was born in Seine-et-Marne, France. He was a pop singer who gained success in the early 1970s. From 1969 to 1970, he was a part of a duo with Areski Belkacem, but released his own solo album the following year. At the time, his songs were considered controversial due to their politically left-wing attitude, and were therefore banned from radio stations.
