Texas-born artist Edgar Winter is a renowned multi-instrumentalist and blues-rock singer/songwriter. He first introduced his skills on keyboard, saxophone and various percussion instruments on his 1970 debut album Entrance, earning both critical accolades and a quick following among mainstream audiences. Though his success peaked in the mid-1970s with the release of his 1974 studio album Shock Treatment, Winter continues to perform live with acts such as Rick Derringer and Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band.
