Donald Glaude

A constant fixture on the list of the "Top 100 DJs" as named by DJ Mag, Donald Glaude is one of the more popular American house artists around. Trained in classical music growing up, his interests soon gravitated toward funk, dance and experimental genres. In the mid-1980s, Glaude began to perform regularly around his hometown of Tacoma, Washington, working within the classic turntablism style at the time by mixing and scratching records. With the emergence of the rave scene in the 1990s however, he found his true calling as a house DJ and began to earn a reputation as one of the stronger purveyors of the genre. A later move to the San Francisco Bay Area increased his notoriety via sets in the underground rave and dance scenes, where he continues to enjoy success.
