Django Reinhardt was a Belgian-born jazz guitarist and composer who is widely considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He is best known for his pioneering of the gypsy jazz style, which combined traditional jazz with the music of the Romani people. Reinhardt's career began in the 1930s, when he was a member of the Quintette du Hot Club de France. He released several albums with the group, including Swing de Paris and Django Reinhardt et le Quintette du Hot Club de France. Reinhardt's solo career began in the 1940s, when he released the albums Django Reinhardt et Son Orchestre and Django Reinhardt et Son Quatuor. He also released several albums with the Quintette du Hot Club de France, including Django Reinhardt et le Quintette du Hot Club de France and Django Reinhardt et le Quintette du Hot Club de France, Vol. 2. Reinhardt's influence on jazz guitar is still felt today, and his music continues to inspire generations of guitarists.
