Ville Petteri Sorsa, also known as DJ Rx, is a Finnish music producer and sound designer. He is one of the founding members of FINRG Recordings, where he worked as both an artist and an A&R from 2003 to 2010. Sorsa has released music under the artist name DJ Rx and as part of the Carbon Based electronic music collective from Lahti. As DJ Rx, Sorsa gained international recognition as a hard dance, breaks, and drum and bass DJ and producer. Alongside Carbon Based, Proteus, and Alek Száhala, he played a pivotal role in the development of Finnish harder electronic music. Sorsa produced music for several English record labels as well as FINRG Recordings. He frequently performed at major clubs and electronic music festivals in Finland and internationally, including Europe and Australia. After an active music career, Sorsa pursued studies in music production at Tampere University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a media engineer in the spring of 2010. Since then, he has primarily focused on post-production work. One of his notable projects is the 2019 game Control, for which he served as the lead sound designer. The game received excellent reviews and won awards such as IGN Game of the Year and the Game Developers Choice Awards 20th Annual Best Audio. In addition to working on games, Sorsa has been involved in radio, television, and film industries. Currently, he works as a sound designer at Remedy Entertainment game company.
