DJ? Acucrack is an influential electronic music duo based in Chicago, Illinois. Formed by Jason Novak and Jamie Duffy as a drum n' bass side project for Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack quickly gained recognition and popularity. What was initially intended as a temporary endeavor between Acumen Nation releases became a main focus due to the positive reception of their music. Nation State and Mutants of Sound, their first two releases, garnered attention and appeared on the CMJ RPM year-end charts in 1998. Their album Sorted, released in 2000, reached #2 on the CMJ RPM Charts in the U.S. The duo had the opportunity to open for KMFDM on their 20th Anniversary Tour in 2004. DJ? Acucrack released Killing Mobius in 2005 and embarked on a tour with Front Line Assembly in 2006, although the tour was cut short. Tragically, founding member Jamie Duffy passed away on June 21, 2012. DJ? Acucrack's discography includes several albums showcasing their unique blend of electronic sounds, such as The Mutants Are Coming and I Believe They Are of Sound, The Dope King, and Humanoids From The Deep.
