Dilated Peoples is a Los Angeles-based hip-hop group composed of producers and emcees Evidence, DJ Babu and Rakaa Iriscience. Formed in 1992, the group spent the 1990s solidifying a fan base in the underground hip-hop scene before signing with Capitol Records and releasing its debut album, The Platform, in 2000. Dilated Peoples went on to collaborate with Kanye West, Xzibit and John Legend, on its most renowned track, 2004's "This Way," and eventually switched from Capitol to Rhymesayers records to drop its sixth studio album, Directors of Photography, in 2013.
