The Del Fuegos are a garage rock/pop band that emerged out of Boston in the 1980s. Comprised of lead singer Dan Zanes, guitarist Warren Zanes, bassist Tom Lloyd and drummer Steve Morrell, the band built its reputation by playing local shows around Boston and traveling the east coast on low-budget tours, earning the respect of critics and fans with its no-frills brand of rock and roll. The Del Fuegos replaced Morrell with Woody Giessmann and released its first album Longest Day, in 1984. The band followed the debut with 1985's Boston, Mass., which featured the band's most well-known song, "Don't Run Wild." Near the end of the decade, the band released a succession of unsuccessful albums that ultimately led to the band's break up 1990. Over three decades later, The Del Fuegos reunited for a two-night reunion in 2011 with all four original members since the break up, and the two nights expanded into a full-blown tour around the east side of the US.
