Henry IV is a historic play by Shakespeare that begins as Henry IV prepares for war. Under the threat of foreign and domestic enemies, the kingdom is divided while its prince, Henry's son Hal, is hiding out in brothels and taverns. As Henry's health declines and the war rages on, Hal is forced to live up to his title and ultimately must choose between duty and loyalty.
