Once a frequent performer on The Tonight Show over the years, he held the record for most appearances on the show, guest starring over 150 times. His popular and accessible brand of humor is observational and topical, often building up to quirky punchlines or quick one-liners. In addition to his stand-up work, Brenner was also a recognized actor, writer and documentary film maker.
