DJ Z-Trip

DJ Z-Trip is widely considered to be the founder of the mashup movement. By taking two well known songs and blending them together in a unique way, the mashup artist creates an original song that is typically easy to dance to. Though the New York-based DJ has spawned several imitators, Z-Trip is the original and he has been making mashups since the early1990s--when most of the modern mashup artist were still in jr. high school.
