About
Daddy Long Legs is the story of orphan Jerusha Abbott, sent to a prestigious college by an unknown benefactor whom she mysteriously and affectionately calls "Daddy Long Legs." The musical is a collaboration between Tony Award-winning writer/director John Caird and Tony-nominated composer/lyricist Paul Gordon, an adaptation of the beloved though largely forgotten 1912 novel by Jean Webster of the same name. A two actor musical, Daddy Long Legs has won three Ovation Awards for "Book for an Original Musical," "Score for an Original Musical" and "Lead Actress in a Musical."
