The Corpus Christi IceRays is a Junior A ice hockey team that competes in the North American Hockey League's South Division. Originally founded in Pittsburgh and called the IceDiggers, the franchise spent time in Toledo, Ohio as well as Alpena, Michigan before relocating to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2010 and being rechristened the IceRays. The team plays at the American Bank Center and since setting up shop in Southern Texas the IceRays have managed to attract a fairly sizable regional following.
