Raised on the punk rock of the 1990s from the likes of NOFX and Bad Religion, Cobra Skulls attempts to carry the pop punk torch for a newer generation. The Reno, Nevada-based three-piece formed in 2005 and quickly released its debut EP the following year. As the group developed a bigger and bigger local following, it eventually found itself opening for and touring with widely known acts such as Against Me! and The Loved Ones. Gold Skulls' classic punk approach and relatively dynamic musicianship earned it a contract with popular punk record label Fat Wreck Chords in 2010.
