The Cleveland Gladiators was an arena football team based out of Cleveland, Ohio that competed in the Arena Football League's Eastern Conference. Founded in 1997, the franchise changed names and locations several times since its inception and went by the New Jersey Red Dogs, the New Jersey Gladiators and the Las Vegas Gladiators before ultimately becoming the Cleveland Gladiators in 2008. Having won its first division title in 2002, the organization proved itself to be one of the more physically adept and well-trained teams in its league.
