Born in Florida and raised in Nova Scotia, Christina Martin is a folk singer/songwriter that combines alternative country, pop and rock into her own brand of modern folk. She embarked on a solo career in 2002 with her debut album, Pretty Things, and quickly broadened her following with high profile gigs in support of bands like Wilco. Following the release of her sophomore effort, Two Hearts, in 2008, she began earning critical accolades, including the Music Nova Scotia Female Recording of the Year in 2012, and has since expanded her reach into international audiences with extensive tours through Europe.
