Hank Williams, Jr. is a singer/songwriter from Shreveport, Louisiana who has built a solid career for himself with his country-inspired, Southern rock material. Growing up in an extremely musical family, with a father who was a popular country singer, Williams would go on to release his debut album of original material in 1964, with Your Cheatin' Heart. Having since gone on to release numerous well-received LPs, in addition to touring the country frequently, Williams has grown into an artist who is looked at as somewhat of an elder statesman of country music.
