The Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle was originally formed under the name St. Stevens Chamber Orchestra in 1982. Though the group formed with a strong connection to the Christian church, it broke away and by 1988 it was considered a non-profit cultural and educational organization. Over the years it has managed to prove itself as a premier musical institution that is capable of playing nearly everything from extremely old classics to more contemporary works. Its 2007-2008 series marked its 25th anniversary and with a reputation for being one of the best orchestras in the American southeast, it'll undoubtedly continue to set impressive benchmarks for itself as it trods into the future.
