Candye Kane is a jazz singer/songwriter from Los Angeles who is known for her soulful, bluesy voice. After short stints in opera and punk rock, she releasing her debut album, A Town South of Bakersfield, in 1986, followed by 1991's Burlesque Song, before signing a deal with Antones Records. Bounced between various labels, including the major label Sire/London records, she continues to release her own tough, vibrant brand of blues and jazz on records such as 2013's Coming Out Swingin'.
