Bongwater was an influential American psychedelic rock band formed in 1987 by Ann Magnuson and Mark Kramer. Known for their unique blend of experimental sounds, dreamy vocals, and witty lyrics, Bongwater created a distinct musical style that evolved from abrasive and abstract compositions to more pop-oriented tracks. Their interpretations of 1960s psychedelic rock songs, alongside their original works and sound collages, garnered attention and college radio success. However, internal conflicts and financial disputes ultimately led to the band's dissolution in 1992, ending their brief but impactful career.
