Bo Ramsey, born Robert Franklin Ramsey in 1951 in Burlington, Iowa, is a highly regarded American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and recording producer. He initially gained attention as a member of the Mother Blues Band and later established himself as a solo artist. Ramsey's breakthrough came when he opened for Lucinda Williams during her 1994 tour. He has collaborated with Williams on multiple projects, producing her albums and performing as a guitarist in her band for various television shows and live performances. Ramsey's production work extends to other notable artists such as Joan Baez, David Zollo, Pieta Brown, Iris DeMent, Ani DiFranco, and Kevin Gordon. He has also worked as a guitarist with musicians like Greg Brown and Elvis Costello. Ramsey's contributions to the music industry have earned him recognition, including induction into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame and the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame.
