Blackalicious is an American hip-hop duo from Sacramento, California, comprised of rapper Gift of Gab (born Timothy Parker) and DJ/producer Chief Xcel (born Xavier Mosley). Primarly known for Gift of Gab's often tongue-twisting, multisyllabic and complex rhymes, the duo has managed to maintain cultural relevancy and critical adoration ever since it released its debut album, Melodica, in 1994.
