Black Stax is a Seattle-based hip-hop duo composed of emcee/producer/songwriter/activist/educator, Felicia Loud, and emcee/producer/songwriter/activist/educator, Sax G. The duo has been making music together since 2006, and has released four full-length albums, two EPs, and several singles. Their music is a unique blend of hip-hop, soul, funk, and jazz, and their lyrics are often socially conscious and thought-provoking. Black Stax has performed at festivals and venues all over the world, and has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Talib Kweli, KRS-One, and The Roots. They have also been featured in several documentaries, including the award-winning film, “The Black Power Mixtape.” Black Stax is a powerful voice in the hip-hop community, and their music is a testament to their commitment to social justice and activism.
