Black Helicopter is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2009, the band consists of vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter John MacLean, bassist/vocalist/songwriter Chris Lynch, and drummer/vocalist/songwriter Dave Anthony. The band has released four studio albums, including their self-titled debut in 2010, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair in 2011, Red Tide in 2013, and their most recent album, In the Company of Serpents, in 2016. Black Helicopter's music is a unique blend of classic rock, punk, and psychedelic influences. Their sound is characterized by MacLean's distinctive vocals, Lynch's driving bass lines, and Anthony's powerful drumming. The band's lyrics often explore themes of alienation, paranoia, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world. Black Helicopter has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, playing shows with acts such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Black Angels, and The War on Drugs. They have also performed at festivals such as SXSW, Primavera Sound, and End of the Road.
