Bill Haley & His Comets was an American rock 'n' roll band founded in 1952 that is credited as being the first group of white musicians to bring rock 'n' roll musical stylings to the American mainstream. Though the group's leader Bill Haley died in 1981, his group, the Comets, still carries on his legacy and continues to tour and perform its quintessential style of pioneering rock 'n' roll.
