A banjo virtuoso, Bill Evans is a legendary musician, composer, author and educator whose passion for this stringed instrument defines his life's work. Over the lengthy span of his career as a musician, Evans has played as a part of Cloud Valley, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Bluegrass Intentions, Due West and Bill Evans String Summit alongside numerous other prestigious collaborations. His first solo album, Native and Fine, was released in 1995. Based on an in-depth knowledge of traditional bluegrass, Evans' musical style is diverse and progressive, redefining the boundaries of the genre. As an author, his book, Banjo for Dummies, is yet another expression of his love for Americana.
