Alsvåg-native Maria Solheim signed her first record deal at the age of 17 with Kirkelig Kulturverksted and released her debut album Barefoot two years later in 2001. She followed it up by releasing Behind Closed Doors, Frail and Will There Be Spring in 2002, 2004 and 2006 respectively. She has consistently toured Norway and Germany throughout her career. Some of her most popular songs include "Lady of My Life," "Summer Came with You," "Ocean Needs Water," "Stjerna," "Midt I Alt," "En krybbe var vuggen" and "Enniken Fenniken."
