During its existence from 1960 to 1970, it was difficult to find a band that was more popular or had more cultural impact than The Beatles. From its formative days as young lads from England making radio friendly and easily accessible pop music, to its later days making complex and multi-layered experimental rock, The Beatles helped redefine what a band can do. In an attempt to tell the fascinating story about The Beatles, play-wrights penned a musical about the rise of one of the most important, if not the most important, bands to ever exist. Debuting on Broadway in 1977, the show would go on to achieve great commercial and critical success, eventually touring the production around the world, where international audiences could behold the musical story of The Beatles for their own.
