Yiddish-speakers, please note that Meshuggah in this context is the name of a Swedish experimental metal band. (For all others, take this as a vocabulary lesson: Meshuggah means “crazy ”in Yiddish.) The band formed and debuted in the late 1980s, and has since made a significant name for itself on the extreme underground music scene. Meshuggah’s music is most duly noted for its complex polyrhythms and innovation in the realm of metal genres.
