One of the coolest things about the heavy metal band DevilDriver is that it has attempted (key word) to set the Guinness world record for "largest circle mosh pit." The heavy metal band--formed in Santa Barbara, California--tried to set the record in 2007 at the Download Festival in England and, again, in 2009, at the same festival. Despite being denied a world record, the band soldiers on and continues to push the boundaries of contemporary metal music by fusing groove and melodic elements into its heavy music.
