Angela Cheng

Angela Cheng is a Canadian classical pianist who has been performing since the age of five. She has released several albums, including her debut album, Angela Cheng Plays Chopin, which was released in 1989. Cheng has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed in recitals and chamber music concerts around the world. Cheng has won numerous awards, including the Juno Award for Classical Album of the Year in 2000. Her repertoire includes works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel. She is known for her passionate and lyrical interpretations of the music she plays. Cheng is also a dedicated teacher, and has served on the faculty of the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music.
