Shotgun Jazz Band is a New Orleans Jazz outfit founded by Marla & John Dixon in 2011. Its other members include part-time performers and guests like Ben Polcer, Craig Flory, Chloe Feoranzo, Michael Magro, Benji Bohannan, Barnabus Jones and more. The band released its debut album Don't Give Up the Ship in 2013 followed by Yearning in 2014. The latter featured tracks like "I Believe I Can Make It By Myself," "You Always Hurt the One You Love," "Get a Working Man," "Tears" and "Dream." The tracklist of Steppin' on the Gas, released in 2017, includes hits like "Gulf Coast Blues," "White Ghost Shivers," "How Am I to Know," "She's Crying for Me" and "Moonlight Bay."
