Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Bad Day is based on a children's novel written by Judith Viorst in 1972. The play follows the titular character, Alexander, on the worst possible day of his life. Everything from gum in his hair to being abandoned by his best friend gets to Alexander and makes him wish he were elsewhere. This at times hilarious story of one boy's misery is a gentle reminder to kids that bad days are part and parcel of life.
