Alex Goot is a singer and musician from Poughkeespie, New York, who rose to fame after creating a YouTube channel and posting cover songs that went viral. Raised in an extremely musical household, Goot would go on to become proficient in many instruments including the piano, guitar and drums—quickly realizing that he didn't need musical cohorts or a band to create instrumentally rich songs. Launching his YouTube channel in 2007, Goot soon became an Internet sensation for his impressive covers of radio-friendly, pop songs.
