The Albany Symphony Orchestra is a professional symphony orchestra that is based in Albany, New York and has been performing regularly since it was formed by Italian conductor John Carabella in 1930. The ASO performs regularly at venues throughout up-state New York and the local New England area during their annual concert seasons, and has had significant success with both its live performances and recordings of works by contemporary American composers. Having recently celebrated its 75th birthday, the Albany Symphony Orchestra welcomed some of classical music's biggest stars to help celebrate the orchestra's success and toast to the future for many more decades to come.
