Agony

Agony is a Colombian metal band that emerged from Bogotá in 1992. Founded by guitarists Ernesto Robayo and Andrés Jaramillo, the band initially consisted of high school friends who shared a passion for heavy metal. Over the years, Agony experienced lineup changes and evolved their sound while maintaining a reputation for intense live performances. With their self-titled demo tape released in 1994, Agony quickly gained recognition among Bogotá's metal fans and participated in the inaugural Rock al Parque festival. They released their first studio album, "Millennium," in 1996, showcasing their powerful blend of metal. Agony continued to make waves in the Colombian metal scene, opening for renowned international bands and releasing their second album, "Reborn," in 2002. Despite a hiatus in 2002, the band regrouped and released their third album, "The Devil's Breath," in 2009. With their ferocious sound and impactful performances, Agony remains a prominent force in Colombian metal.
