The Abbotsford Heat was a professional ice hockey team based out of Abbotsford, Canada that competed in the American Hockey League. Founded in 2009, the team was an affiliate of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames and produced several players who went on to have versatile careers in the NHL. With seasons that found the team winning more games than losing, the Heat provided citizens of Abbotsford with engaging hockey games until it folded in 2014.
