Emerging out of the late '70s English music scene, Gang of Four pioneered a unique sound that combined a punk rock sensibility with funk and dance instrumentation. These innovative genre combinations were matched with intellectual, politically-bent lyrics - resulting in a distinct form of music that was well respected by serious music fans who looked for music outside of the mainstream. Though the group has disbanded a few times, original members of Gang of Four got back together in 2004 and have been performing their ingenious songs to fans who crave unique music that's void of a facade.
