DMT is a heavy metal band that emerged out of Los Angeles in 2009. Founded by the core trio of front man Jamie Rubel, bassist Alistar Valadez and guitarist David Valadez, the band fuses psychedelic visuals with a death metal sonic aesthetic, resulting in the intense energy of its debut EP, A Shift of Ages. Released in 2011, the record captured the raw yet hallucinogenic vibes of the band's live performances.
