Kris Kristofferson is an American country singer, songwriter and actor. In 1963, he had his first breakthrough with his single "Viet Nam Blues." Johnny Cash recognized Kristofferson's talent and the rest is history. He signed to a major label, and has released country folk and country rock records ever since. Besides his singing career, Kristofferson participated in films with Barbra Streisand Gene Hackman, and can also be seen in various Western films by Sam Peckinpah.
