Fehlfarben is a New Wave/post-punk band from Düsseldorf, Germany. The band was founded in 1979 and released its first album Monarchie und Alltag (Monarchy and Daily Life) in 1980, which, despite it's big cultural impact, didn't reach gold status until 2000. The band split up in 1984, only to reunite in 1989, and has been performing successfully ever since. In 2006 a tribute album to Fehlfarben was released, featuring German artists such as Helge Schneider, Campino, Sven Regener and many others.
