Sergio Contreras is a Spanish musician and songwriter who is known for his unique fusion of flamenco music with R&B and hip-hop. Born in Huelva, he began his career as a radio DJ and club DJ in Andalusia, where he honed his musical ear and developed a passion for blending his cultural heritage with contemporary sounds. In 2004, he released his debut single "Racisme (Maqueta Asere)" independently, which gained a following and sold over 5,000 copies. Contreras' debut full-length album, "De Luz y de Sal," was released in 2005 and featured the hit song "Yo No Quise." The album sold over 50,000 copies, earning him his first gold record. He followed it up with "El Espejo" in 2006, which landed him a place on Billboard's Top European 100 and opened doors for him to perform all over Europe.
